Trowbridge Primary Care Centre will be developed on land adjacent to Trowbridge Community Hospital. This will allow people to have access Trowbridge Hospital services while the Primary Care Centre is under construction. The PCT say that although this land is currently leased to the local cricket club, this has always been on the basis that if the land were needed for health purposes, it would be taken back. However this leaves the cricket club, and the footballers who also use the ground, with nowhere to go. The PCT say this is not their problem, and go on to explain that "The new facilities will be more than GP surgeries, as they will include a range of healthcare services. They will be modern and fit for purpose, and will provide access for people with disabilities."
