In April Staverton, Hilperton and Paxcroft Mead changed from Monday to Thursday collections.

Bowerhill, Berryfield, Snowberry Lane and Queensway in Melksham changed from Tuesday to Friday collections. The remainder of the district was unaffected.

These changes only affect the collection of green and grey wheeled bins. Weekly black sack collections are unaffected, as are the black kerbside box collections.

The council says:

"The round changes, which took place on 21st April, have been successful, with the number of missed bins falling dramatically to well within the contract specification. This has meant that Focsa have enough freed up resources to begin to make improvements in performance regarding bin deliveries, fly tips, bin removals and bulky household waste collections, although further work in these areas is still required."
