Squatters move in to Wyke Road property

9.35.00am BST (GMT +0100) Wed 18th Jun 2008

Following months of neglect by Persimmon Homes the house at 120 Wyke Road has been occupied by squatters.

Persimmon have been warned repeatedly that fencing at the house was deteriorating, leaving the premises vulnerable to intruders. They've also on several occasions been asked to tidy up the patch of ground opposite where rubbish had been dumped.

Persimmon are now facing a lengthy legal battle to repossess the property, which they originally purchased as part of the scheme to build the Hilperton Gap road.
