Lib Dems fighting hard for South West Wiltshire in Europe

Local Lib Dem Parliamentary candidate Trevor Carbin and Euro-MP Graham Watson have pledged to make the EU work for South West Wiltshire, and help find a green route out of recession.

The Tories are on the fringes of Europe having joined a small group of extremist MEPs in the European Parliament.

The Lib Dems now officially speak the loudest for the area in Europe, and are the only party fighting for investment in green technology and action on the economy.

Europe can create thousands of "green-collar" jobs, and between 2007 and 2013 £910m will be pumped into the region's economy. Graham and Trevor are determined to make this pay off.

Graham is also the only South West MEP to call on the EU to tackle climate change; others are either uninterested or climate change deniers.

Graham said:

"It is sad that none of the region's other MEPs believe our planet is worth saving.

"But I look forward to working with Trevor to make sure Britain cuts carbon emissions and builds a healthy, sustainable economy."

Tories show true colours in Europe

The mask carefully crafted by David Cameron to disguise the "nasty" Tories is falling to pieces in Europe.

The Conservatives have joined a small fringe group of extremists in the European Parliament. These people oppose equal rights and have been linked to far right and fascist groups.

In the European Parliament, Tory MEPs have attacked the NHS, supported homophobes in Europe and denied the existence of climate change.

They also opposed attempts to close tax havens for the rich that cost Britain billions of pounds.

Local Lib Dem MEP Graham Watson said;

"This is the true face of the Conservative Party. We must make sure that these people don't get hold of Westminster.

"The Lib Dems have a record of action on the economy, the environment and equal rights. Only people like Trevor Carbin can deliver the change that Britain needs."
