• Trevor Carbin was the Liberal Democrat candidate for South West Wiltshire in the 2010 general election, coming second in the poll with nearly 15,000 votes. He is the Wiltshire Unitary Councillor for Holt and Staverton division, and a parish councillor for Hilperton. He leads the Liberal Democrat group on Wiltshire Council.
